In honor of Mother’s Day, the NorthPark Mission Committee has chosen charities focusing on women’s issues. We invite you to participate in this endeavor.

If you are attending Worship this Sunday, May 12, you can pick up a marble and drop it into the jar associated with the charity of your choice.

If you are not attending Worship on Sunday, May 12, you can vote online from Monday, May 6 through Monday, May 13 by selecting one of the five charities chosen by the NorthPark Mission Committee listed below.

The 2024 charities include: ​

1. Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center: Works to prevent sexual violence in North Texas. Find out more at dallasrapecrisis.org. 

2. New Friends New Life: Works to restore and empower formerly trafficked and sexually exploited individuals. Find out more at newfriendsnewlife.org. 

3. Nexus Recovery: Offers specialized substance abuse services for women and teenage girls, including those pregnant or accompanied by children. Find out more at nexusrecovery.org. 

4. The Family Place: Empowers victims of family violence by providing safe housing, counseling, and skills that create independence. Find out more at familyplace.org. 

5. Redeemed Women: Transforming women to lead independent lives by building relationships and addressing spiritual, physical, and vocational needs. Find out more at redeemedwomen.org. 

 

Please be sure to vote either in-person or online. When voting online or in-person, each charity will receive a donation equal to the number of votes. One vote per each family member.
