Working in partnership with the Reverse Food Truck, the new SoulFood Greenhouse furthers the church's commitment to helping reduce the number of hungry families and children in Dallas via the Vickery Meadow Food Pantry.
How does it work? The SoulFood Greenhouse is a hydroponic, pesticide-free facility capable of producing continuous tomato harvests throughout the year. This fresh produce is delivered regularly to the Vickery Meadow Food Pantry (beginning January, 2018).
How can I help? You can volunteer to work in the greenhouse or sign up to help deliver tomatoes to the food pantry. Monetary donations are also welcome and will be used to support general greenhouse operations.
How can I learn more? If you have specific questions about volunteer requirements or grow schedules, please email Keri McCall, Project Coordinator.
For media inquiries, contact M.E. Clary, Director of Media and Church Relations.
Thank you for joining us in our continued effort to reverse hunger in Dallas!
