Youth Mission Trips

Youth Mission Trips

The NorthPark Presbyterian Church Senior and Junior High Youth Groups go on annual mission trips during the month of June. The Senior High Group spends a week on a work project, most often helping with housing through Habitat for Humanity. They have worked with Habitat many times in Farrell-Sherard, Mississippi, once in Kansas City, and once in NM Habitat building with adobe bricks. Each of these experiences has been rewarding as we learn much from the people in the community as we work alongside them to provide decent housing. The Junior High Group has attended the Heifer Project International headquarters in Perryville, Arkansas. There the group experiences life in the “Global Village” where they learn first-hand about the root causes of hunger and poverty. They have also visited Kingsville, Texas and the Presbyterian Pan American School where they helped paint dorm rooms. All of these trips have grown out of an awareness that God calls all ages to serve those in need.

Volunteer opportunities: All are welcome to participate. No special skills required. Group meets the 1st Tuesday morning of each month at NorthPark Presbyterian Church.
