Whether you are a new member or have been part of NorthPark for years, small groups are a way we get to know each other better and share common interestes. By participating in groups, we can support each other in times of joy and challenge. Below are some of the newly formed groups, along with contact information for each.
Food. Potluck, preparing food in homes, and dining out - NorthPark foodies do them all. For information on meeting times, contact Kathy Jones as kathrynjones77@yahoo.com.
Movies. Members will choose a movie to see as individuals and then they will gather to discuss it at a time that is chosen at the meeting. Contact Cherry Haymes at ohcherryoh@gmail.com.
Games. Whether you're into bridge, board games, sports or some other game, we're betting that other NorthParkers are, too. Sign up and we'll connect you. Contact Cheryl Cunningham about bridge at ckcu@tx.rr.com. We're still needing organizers for other types of games, so it you're interested let Barbara Seale know. b.seale@sbcglobal.net.
Bible Studies. The options are limited only by your imagination, participation and the availability of a facilitator. One women's Bible study group is already meeting and another evening study is being formed now. Contact b.seale@sbcglobal.net.
Loss Support. No one goes through life without loss. This group will support you if you're going through a loss such as a divorce, the death of a loved one, loss of a job or another type of loss. We grieve during each situation. This group will provide caring support for as long as you need it. Contact John Millemon at jmill@dcccd.edu.
Each group will follow the Word-Share-Prayer format that lifts the gathering above a simple social get-together and helps us become a closer community. The Small Group Ministry Task Force will help each group figure out how to use it in each group.
If you have questions, would like to volunteer ro facilitate, or want to form a group, contact Barbara Seale at 972/690-6975 or b.seale@sbcglobal.net.
