June 7Getting to know our neighbors in the pews
Using a fun activity called “Speed Relating,” we will get to know our fellow “NorthParkers” better.
June 14John Calvin’s 500th birthday
This celebration will include “Calvin Trivia,” a discussion of some highlights from Calvin’s life and beliefs, and a “birthday party.”
June 21Ministry with the homeless
Brenda Roberts, who has been significantly involved with this ministry for many years, will speak with us. Her primary responsibility has been to plan and prepare the food for the homeless in Dallas for years at “The Stewpot” and now at “The Bridge.”
Elementary Students: Bring your favorite book – we’ll visit and read at the Forum.
June 28Mission trip recaps
Brunch for all will be prepared by the youth and others, followed by edited videos and comments from the youth about their three mission trips.
July 5Operation Caring
We will be reaching out to our troops by making care packages for them. In addition, we will help the troops in their outreach to children in foreign countries by assembling school supply kits.

Our Building Repair Committee will discuss its investigation of our building’s waterproofing, foundation, and landscaping problems, and report solutions under consideration.

July 26Highlights from David & Cherry Haymes on their latest work in Africa
The Haymes will offer updates on Sister Freda’s Cottage Hospital and Nursing School and NorthPark’s involvement. David and Cherry also will discuss the journey of MEDS for Africa as they continue their work into Rwanda and The Congo and will begin briefings for those that would like to join their team in February 2010. An African Craft market will offer items for sale that will support young teenage girls in continuing their education.

Bill Lively grew up in the Oak Cliff Presbyterian Church in Dallas. He is noted as one of the most creative, responsible, and theologically sound professional leaders in assisting people to engage in fulfilling their desire to live out generosity. He was for years the head development officer at SMU.

Have you ever wanted to know how the organ works or tour the organ loft? Have you ever wondered how all those sounds come out of the bells and chimes? Try them out! Come explore the ways we make music at NorthPark!
August 16Becoming a welcoming congregation
How hospitable is NorthPark? What does a visitor experience? What are some ways we can become more welcoming? These questions will be explored in small groups as we raise our awareness of this important aspect of ministry.
**Learning activities are for elementary, youth and adults unless otherwise indicated. Alternative activities are provided for elementary and youth on those Sundays.
Sunday School classes will be offered each week for 2 & 3 Year Olds
and for 4 & 5 Year Olds & Kindergarten.
Childcare is offered for children under the age of 2.
